Account deletion

Effective October 5, 2026

How to ask for your Healthy Tray account to be removed, and what happens to your information.

1. How to request deletion

This page is for the Healthy Tray app and website, published by Healthy Tray. Your hospital issued your account, so your hospital takes part in removing it.

  1. Email support@healthytray.com from the email address on the account. Use the subject “Account deletion request.” Do not include patient information.
  2. Or ask your hospital’s administrator to remove your account.
  3. We confirm the request comes from the account holder and coordinate with your hospital, which decides who has access.
  4. The account is closed, and you can no longer sign in.

2. What happens to the account

When your account is removed:

  • You can no longer sign in, and every active session ends.
  • Your access to every hospital is withdrawn.

3. What is kept, and why

Some information stays after an account is closed, because a hospital must be able to account for its records:

  • The closed account record, which holds your name and work email, so that records and access log entries can still show who did what.
  • Access log entries that record who opened which patient record and when.
  • Clinical records you took part in, such as a tray review. They stay part of the hospital’s medical record, which the hospital is legally required to keep.

Backups and server logs age out on a schedule. Read How long we keep information for more.

4. If you are a patient

Patients do not have Healthy Tray accounts. Your hospital holds the record of your meals, so ask your hospital about your records. If you write to support@healthytray.com, we will pass your request to the hospital.
